OVERVIEW
In 2022, Woodside Energy, an industry titan in Oil & Gas, entrusted Mayler + Co. with the grand task of showcasing their prowess at the esteemed APPEA 2022.
Set against the backdrop of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, this challenge was set to span between 16th and 19th May 2022.
OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE
Our mission was multi-faceted: construct and run an exhibition stand that exemplified Woodside Energy's leadership in the Oil & Gas domain. However, time was of the essence. We were grappling with stringent timelines, and every element, from negotiations to scheduling, had to be orchestrated meticulously to meet the impeccable standards we and our client adhere to.
Our focus not only was on creating an engaging space but also on providing a quiet break-out opportunity. If you’ve ever attended a large-scale exhibition you’ll know that they can make for a busy, noisy and often intense environment. That’s why we created a meeting room that allowed delegates to escape the fast-paced environment, have conversations and network in a more intimate and private setting.
INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION
Our vision was clear: A 12mx9m stand that wasn’t just an exhibition space, but a welcoming haven. Instead of overburdening attendees with marketing jargon, we aimed to create an ambiance of warmth and approachability.
We infused a touch of Western Australia by collaborating with local suppliers for coffee, florals, and giveaways. This not only added a unique dimension to the exhibit but also resonated with the ethos of Woodside.
Moreover, our on-stand cocktail party, featuring a bespoke menu and beverages, was designed to captivate and connect with attendees.
RESULTS & SUCCESS
Our strategies were on-point. By partnering with Margaret River Roasting, we were able to bring the authentic taste of WA coffee to Queensland. The giveaway from Bahen and co was a delightful touch, introducing attendees to premium WA chocolate. Over the course of the event, 3000 attendees marked their presence, with our stand becoming a hotspot for meetings, coffee rendezvous, and networking. It became evident that ours was the stand to visit.
While Woodside Energy maintains a policy refraining from giving testimonials, the overwhelming response and turnout at the stand spoke volumes about the success and effectiveness of our execution.
By thoughtfully combining the essence of WA with the global stature of Woodside, Mayler + Co. manifested a stand that was not just an exhibit but an experience.
