FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 ™

OVERVIEW

In the summer of 2023, the thrilling aura of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ took over Australia and New Zealand.

Tourism WA sought to celebrate this worldwide event by organising two significant events as part of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour 2023™ in Perth and Busselton.

OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE

Our aim was dual-fold: to seamlessly execute two crucial events in two different locations for the esteemed FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour 2023™.

Another underlying challenge was to aid the diligent team at Tourism WA, who were juggling numerous responsibilities, ensuring that these events were orchestrated without a hitch.

INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION

Aligning with the Tourism WA team's vision, we took charge by finalising all associated suppliers, crafting the event run-down, liaising with city councils for paperwork, managing talent, and overseeing other critical elements.

The goal was to curate events that not only showcased the World Cup but also celebrated football in its entirety and the associated excitement.

RESULTS & SUCCESS

In Perth, the event saw an attendance of approximately 500 enthusiastic attendees, comprising various talents such as Aya Miyama, Tash Rigby, and many more. Additionally, dignitaries, including the Deputy Premier and Football Australia Head of Women’s Football, graced the event. The day was not just about the formalities; Football West organised skills sessions for budding football enthusiasts, and the general public cherished the opportunity to take photos with the coveted trophy.

Similarly, in Busselton, around 500 attendees took part in the celebration. The event featured prominent personalities like Tash Rigby, Felicity Palmateer, and others. The Mayor of Busselton and Football West CEO attended, emphasising the importance of the event. Once again, Football West enthralled attendees with skills sessions, and the trophy remained the main attraction for photographs.

Throughout both events, the excitement surrounding the FIFA Women's World Cup™  coming to Australia & New Zealand was palpable, with a special emphasis on its significance for regional Western Australia.

“I have worked with Natalie Pronin from Mayler & Co on numerous event projects over the past five years. Most notably, through my role as Sponsorship Manager for Tourism Western Australia, I enlisted Mayler & Co for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Trophy Tour™ events in Perth and Busselton this July. Our collaborations with Mayler & Co have always been outstanding. Their knack for bringing visions to life, meeting targets timely and within set budgets, and surpassing stakeholder expectations is commendable. Natalie’s leadership is noteworthy; her adept communication skills and relationship-building capacity are exemplary. Their integration with our team has always felt seamless, complementing our resources and systems. Furthermore, their extensive network of contractors and suppliers ensures that every event they touch turns into a success. Every event we've co-hosted has consistently garnered praise from attendees, our executive board, and even Ministers.”

- Kirsten Drower, Sponsorship Manager, Tourism WA.

With meticulous planning, Mayler & Co ensured the events not only showcased the grandeur of FIFA but also the spirit of football and its significance for regional Western Australia.
