OVERVIEW
In 2022, Mayler + Co was entrusted with a distinguished project by Unisport: The Australian Masters Games 2022. Spread across different iconic locations—Optus Stadium, Coast, and the WA Museum—we were to curate and execute three pivotal events marking the Games.
OBJECTIVES & CHALLENGES
The significant goals were to successfully deliver the three cardinal events of the Australian Masters Games:
The Opening Ceremony,
The Mid Week Social Event, and
The Closing Ceremony.
This challenge was amplified given the backdrop of COVID postponements that affected our planning period, which spanned from September 2020 to April 2022.
INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION
Our strategic approach was to partner closely with the AMG team, aiming to manifest the three main participant events distinct from the sports events.
This collaboration ensured alignment with the spirit of the Games while adding our touch of uniqueness.
Managing diverse venues, from the grandeur of the Optus Stadium to the contemporary ambiance of the WA Museum, demanded a versatile and tailored approach, which Mayler + Co excels in.
RESULTS & SUCCESS
Thanks to our proactive approach, a wide range of services—ranging from client and stakeholder management to technical oversight and crisis planning—and the consistent support of our partners like Australian Master Games, the events were a grand success.
