Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development: Farewell BBQ

OVERVIEW

We recently had the fantastic opportunity to manage the evokeAG Farewell BBQ, an event that marked the conclusion of the evokeAG conference. This special evening was held on February 21st at the beautiful WA Museum, in both the Cite View Room and Hackett Hall. Here's how we said a memorable goodbye to an amazing event!

OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE

The Farewell BBQ was designed to provide a casual yet vibrant closing to the days of discussions and presentations at the evokeAG conference.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the WA Museum, the event featured a multi-layered cocktail party atmosphere that catered to 350 attendees, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and regional celebration.

Our partners played a crucial role in bringing this event to life. From the fresh, locally-sourced food prepared by Heyder & Shears to the flawless event setup by Phenomenon and PAV, every detail was meticulously crafted to ensure the evening was nothing short of spectacular. Additional thanks go to Kwik Kopy, Jessie James, and BBC Entertainment for their contributions to making the evening a success.

INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION

Upon arrival in the City View Room, guests were greeted with a live BBQ and a selection of local beverages, showcasing the best produce and flavors from Western Australia. The setting was laid-back, with DJ FADJ spinning tracks to keep the vibe lively and inclusive.

A standout moment of the evening was the speech from the premier, who extended thanks to all the regional and international guests, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the agriculture sector. Adding a deeply local touch, Irene Stainton AO delivered a poignant Welcome to Country, enriching the evening with cultural significance.

RESULTS & SUCCESS

The Farewell BBQ was not just an event; it was a celebration of community, innovation, and the vibrant future of agriculture in Western Australia.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on the seamless integration of cultural performances and the excellent showcase of regional specialties.

Thank you to the Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development for entrusting us with this event, and to all our suppliers and partners who helped make it an unforgettable evening.
