International Women’s Day 2025

OVERVIEW

This year's International Women's Day at Optus Stadium was nothing short of spectacular! We kicked things off with a lively pre-event gathering that really set the vibe—allowing everyone from speakers to attendees to mingle and ramp up the excitement for the day ahead.

OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE

Our goal was simple yet ambitious: to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women while addressing the persistent challenges that obstruct true equality. We designed every discussion and session to do more than just engage; we wanted to spark a real drive for action in all who attended.

INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION

It was absolutely electrifying to have speakers like The Hon. Katy Gallagher and Celeste Barber on stage this International Women's Day. Their stories weren't just heard; they resonated deeply, inspiring us all. The workshops went beyond typical presentations, turning into interactive sessions where everyone could get hands-on experience, which really brought those lessons home.

We also embraced the rich culture of Australia with performances from the Australian Girls Choir and a heartfelt Welcome to Country by Robyn Collard. These moments not only celebrated our heritage but also underscored the profound wisdom of Australia’s First Peoples.

The energy kicked off right from the start with a casual morning meetup. It was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic faces connecting, sharing laughs, and setting a wonderfully empowering tone for the day. Each interaction, whether through conversation or shared experiences, helped forge stronger bonds among everyone at Optus Stadium.

RESULTS & SUCCESS

We had an exceptional turnout at Optus Stadium for International Women's Day, with around 600 participants bringing an infectious energy that truly made the event a success. Together, we managed to raise over $160,000 across 4 cities for gender equality initiatives, a testament to the commitment and generosity of our community.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting deep emotional engagement and a renewed commitment to drive change.

The event also received extensive media coverage, ensuring that the powerful messages of the day reached a broad audience.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this memorable day! Your enthusiasm and support were instrumental in its success.
